We glorify God by helping people become like Jesus by Reaching Up (loving God), Reaching In (loving one another) and Reaching Out (loving the world).
Exaltation: Our response to God’s love expressed in Christ is to worship and adore Him forever. Everything we do is intended to bring greater honor and praise to Jesus Christ.
(Loving One Another)
Edification: Through a solid program of Bible teaching, we strive to assist each other in the process of growth in Christian character. Each person finds greater meaning for life as they learn to utilize their unique God-given abilities to serve others.
Encouragement: We encourage loving relationships of caring and concern for one another in everyday life especially during difficult and hard circumstances.
(Loving the World)
Evangelism: We want to demonstrate God’s love to the people of our community and world and introduce them to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Core Values
A Commitment to the Word of God
We will preach and teach in a responsible way that brings the truth to intersect with life. In addition, it is our intent to unashamedly preach and teach the whole counsel of Scripture and be willing to teach difficult teachings of Scripture. The Bible is inerrant in it’s content and will be central in all our teaching, worship, fellowship, and study. (John 17:14-17; Ephesians 6:17; 2 Timothy 2:15, 3:14-17; Hebrews 4:12)
A Commitment to Prayer
We will keep prayer at the center of our daily lives, activities, and decisions. We will provide opportunities for growth in our corporate and personal prayer lives. Every ministry and activity will be characterized by dependence on God including regular prayer for leadership of our church. (Luke 11:1-13; I Thessalonians 5:17-18; Ephesians 6:18)
A Commitment to Christ as the only Way
We will proclaim to all people that Jesus Christ is Lord, Savior, and the only mediator between God and humanity. Christ is the only means of salvation and this grace is available to all who believe and accept him as their Savior and we will be known as a Christ-centered church. (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9; 2 Peter 3:9; I John 2:2)
A Commitment to a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ
Through personal evangelism and life style, corporate worship and programming we will stress the need for a personal relationship with Christ. Faith is personal, Trusting and focused on the one True God. Further it is individualized. (Isaiah 43:1;Psalms 56:4; Matthew 22:37-38; Psalms. 139:1-3)
A Commitment to Authentic Relationships
We will provide opportunities for people to know and to be known, to love and to be loved, to care and to be cared for, to serve and to be served so everyone might experience the power of true friendship. We will do this as our loving commitment to our fellow believers, and as an example of Christ’s love to the world. We will strive to preserve unity while recognizing and understanding that each person has the individual responsibility to be accepting of others and exhibit the character qualities outlined in scripture that promote the love and unity to foster such relationships. (John 13:31-35; Acts 2:42-47; I Corinthians 13:4-8a)
A Commitment to Service
We will encourage and provide training opportunities that will enable each believer to identify and be involved in using their spiritual gifts for the benefit of the church and the glory of God. This commitment is intended to include recognition of and submission to Biblical Leadership. We will require our church leaders to meet the biblical qualifications as set forth in the Word of God. We will serve our God, our fellow believers, and our community, not just as an activity but as a mindset and a way of life. (Matthew 20:25-28; John 13:1-17; Philippians 2:3-8; I Timothy 3:2-9; Titus 1:1-10)
A Commitment to Evangelism
We will encourage and equip all age groups to proclaim the message of salvation to those in their sphere of influence. We will seek to mentor, encourage, train and send out those called to full-time, vocational Christian service and actively support those around the world who have been called to ‘full-time’ mission or ministry work. (Matthew 28:19-20; John 14:6; I Timothy 2:5-6;Philemon 6; I Corinthians 15:3-4)
A Commitment to Family
We are a family-oriented church which tries hard to train God’s people to live effectively in Christian families. Our children and youth ministries place an emphasis upon growing young people God’s way; yet designed to augment, not compete with, parental responsibilities. We will provide both ministry opportunities and teaching/learning programs for all members of the family-youngest to oldest as well as those who are unmarried. In addition, it is our belief that strong, healthy marriages and a commitment to the sanctity of life are additional components of family commitment. (Matthew 19:14; Proverbs 2:21-22; Proverbs 4:1; Proverbs 6:20; Proverbs 24:3-4; Psalms 139:13-16;Deuteronomy 6:6-9; I Timothy 4:12)
