The Risen Redeemer

Today’s Easter sermon is entitled "More than a Metaphor." Pastor Steve stated that his aim was to retell the Easter story from Luke 24:1-12 sharing some fresh insights from this text. The sermon unfolds the story of Jesus' resurrection, focusing, in part, on the women who visited the tomb, their humility, and their teachability as they encountered angels who revealed that Jesus had risen. This sermon also contrasts the skepticism of the disciples, and the importance of faith. We all start our journey of faith at different points ranging from perplexity to hardened skepticism. Jesus calls us to investigate the evidence of the resurrection and move towards a more grounded faith. We are called to be “all in”!
