Part 10: Nobody Needs a Mistress

Whereas last week's message on 2 Samuel 7 marked the high-water mark moment in the life of David, 2 Samuel 11 mark's the low-water mark of David's life. In this chapter David takes another man's wife and then, as a cover-up he takes his life. Up to this point David has experienced unqualified success and blessing. After this dastardly act, David will experience many defeats and heartaches. God will forgive him but others in his family and the family of Bathsheba never do. This text reminds us of God's grace that forgives our sins but not their consequences.
