Transformed: Part 6 - Truth and Lies
Oct 6, 2024 • Stephen Palm
In confronting the false religionists who had redefined Jesus, accepting Him as Messiah but rejecting Him and the Son of God, John uses the strongest terms. He refers to them as antichrists. In doing so he teaches us the critical importance of right doctrine. We cannot redefine Jesus and then claiming that in Him we have eternal life. To be in Jesus, you must accept Him as He presents Himself, not as you want him to be. Our text in Jn. 2:18-27 explores important issues concerning truth and lies, a message sorely needed in the post-Christian 21st century.
