Transformed: Part 5 - Remember and Live

In 1 John 2:12-17, John makes two digressions from his main argument concerning the key "tests" for discerning true believers from false teachers. These digressions are not a distraction. John sees them as critically important. The first concerns the assurance he wants to extend to believers at all stages of spiritual development. The second digression is a warning not to "love this world." We will explore how John uses the word "world" in this text, as a means of referring to the world system that defies God and despises his commandments. Loving this world is antithetical to loving God!
